DEPARTMENT: Administration and Human Resource

Overview

The Administration and Human resource department, is made up of three (3) units, namely:

  • Administration;
  • Human Resources; and
  • Assets & Maintenance.

All the three (3) units of the Division focus on providing a conducive working environment to NILDS and its Staff.

Administration and Human Resources Department, is made up of three (3) units, namely:

Administration Unit

The functions of the Administration Unit are primarily on the operations related to: General Security; Office Cleaning & Sanitation; Staff Welfare and Wellbeing (Health) Engagement with Service providers and Vendors of The Institute

Human Resources Unit

The Human Resources Unit deals with issues relating to personnel matters and productivity of staff. The Human Resources Unit is responsible for the following: Documentation for new employees and periodic record up-date; Conduct of Performance Management Appraisal; Conduct of induction and Management Retreats; Engagement of NYSC, Internship and IT members; Process matters related to appointment, promotion, staff welfare, and discipline; Forecast labour requirements of the Institute from time to time; Talent Management; Maintain and update staff/applicants database; Other staff related issues.

Assets Maintenance Unit

The core function of the Unit is to manage the Institute's infrastructure, vehicles, and equipments. The unit is to ensure that structures and facilities/equipments are properly identified and regularly maintained and repaired. Other responsibilities include the monitoring of the Construction of the NILDS Permanent Site The Unit carries out the following functions: Facility Management Project Monitoring and Supervision

Mallam Aminu Bello Dukku

AMINU BELLO DUKKU was born on 5th January, 1964 in Gombe,  Gombe State.  He holds a B.Sc. Business Administration, a Post-graduate Diploma in Computer Science, and a Master’s degree in Banking and Finance.  He was a Banker, Lecturer and now an Administrator and a Human Resources Professional.  
Aminu Dukku is an Associate Member Nigerian Institute of Pension (AMIPN), the Nigerian Institute of Management (AMNIM), a Member Chartered Institute of Personnel Management (MCIPM) and a Fellow Institute of Corporate Administration of Nigeria (FICAN).  He has attended several courses both national and International.  He served as a secretary to many ad-hoc Committees.
Aminu Dukku is presently the Director, of Administration and Human Resources, at the National Institute for Legislative and Democratic Studies. He is married with children.
