DG, NILDS, Prof. Sulaiman Bags Labour Institute Fellowship.

As part of activities marking the 40th anniversary of the Michael Imoudu National Institute for Labour Studies, MINILS, the Director General, MINILS, Comrade Issa Aremu on Wednesday confered the Fellowship of MINILS on the Director General, National Institute for Legislative and Democratic Studies, Prof. Abubakar O. Sulaiman, FNLS

While commending Prof. Sulaiman’s giant strides, the labour leader said he had drawn inspiration from DG NILDS’, leadership style.

“I was appointed about two years ago. But some of the things that have inspired me came from NILDS under your leadership.

“The radio station recently commissioned by NILDS will promote democracy and activities in the National Assembly. That is the first in West Africa:

Prof. Sulaiman, in turn, asssured the labour Institute to appeal to members of the National Assembly to get a good budget for the labour Institute in the 2024 budget.

“We’ll midwife this and ensure that the right thing is done for the Labour Institute.”

Speaking further, he called on president Bola Ahmed Tinubu to come up with palliatives to cushion the effects of subsidy removal.

The Fellowship of MINILS was also conferred on the NILDS’ Acting Director, Administration and Human Resources, Mallam Aminu Bello Dukku, FNLS.
